Snow in the Sonoran Desert! While most of the country is not giddy about snow, here in Desert Mountain it is quite the sight. We got to play and build snowmen for two days and then the sun came out. It was perfectly timed as this mountain is not equipped to keep the snow off of the roads. It literally shuts us down. As it goes away, as quickly as it came, everything goes back to normal. --Sunshine that is! Yet, we have something to talk about and write about for days, months and even years to come. For this Scottsdale, Arizona native it is pure amusement and bliss.
Believe or not the Sonoran Desert has huge temperature drops and it can get cold. Not typically cold enough to snow but if you are traveling to Scottsdale in January a warm coat would be suggested for the evenings.
